This morning on my drive to work. I was driving in the inside lane and passing another vehicle at about a 3-5 mph delta V (5 mph over the posted speed limit). I noticed another vehicle in my rear view approaching rapidly. He crawled so far up my rear that I could barely see his headlights. Now I’m happy to cause road rage so I kicked off my cruise control. Now both lanes are blocked and instead of backing off like a civilized driver he put his brights on. Since I will always be the bigger asshole I hit the brakes. He kept his bright lights on and slowed down with me down to about 15 mph. He could not pass as the outside lane was now full of traffic going 45 mph faster. Finally traffic cleared and he rage passed, pedal to the floor and all four cylinders blazing. And I resumed my cruise control.

Don’t be an ass in traffic, eventually you’ll meet someone just like you.
